Role: ROASTERY WAREHOUSE MANAGER

Hours of Work: Full-Time

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: From £34,000 per year - depending on experience  

Location: Fire & Flow Coffee Roastery, Cirencester, GL7

 

We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Roastery Warehouse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our coffee roastery warehouse. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for ensuring all orders are fulfilled accurately and on time, stock is effectively managed, and systems and processes are continually improved.

You will play a key role in supporting the growth of the business by creating a well-structured, efficient, and scalable warehouse operation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Warehouse Operations & Fulfilment

  • Take ownership of the day-to-day running of the roastery warehouse, leading from the front in a hands-on capacity
  • Manage all wholesale and retail order fulfilment, ensuring accuracy and timely dispatch
  • Plan and carry out the daily packing and production schedules
  • Grind, dose, pack and seal coffee according to production specifications
  • Ensure all orders are packed, prepared and dispatched on time to a high standard
  • Maintain accurate labelling, batch coding and fully product traceability
  • Prepare and coordinate orders for local deliveries in our electric van
  • Assist in coordinating logistics where required

Stock Management & Purchasing

  • Monitor, manage, and maintain optimal stock levels across coffee, packaging, and consumables
  • Order stock in line with business needs, budgets, and storage capacity
  • Ensure effective stock rotation and minimise waste
  • Track supplier pricing and identify opportunities to benefit from bulk pricing or price breaks

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Develop, implement, and improve warehouse systems and processes
  • Drive organisation, efficiency, and consistency across all warehouse operations
  • Introduce scalable solutions to support business growth
  • Maintain accurate stock, batch and fulfilment records

Team & Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Head Roaster to ensure smooth production planning and workflow
  • Support and guide warehouse team members where required
  • Collaborate with the wider team to ensure operational alignment

Standards, Compliance & Maintenance

  • Maintain high standards of product quality, cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse
  • Conduct weekly equipment cleaning
  • Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene standards are consistently met
  • Ensure the company delivery van is maintained, organised, and ready for use
  • Maintain a safe working environment

Reporting & Performance

  • Monitor and report on fulfilment performance and operational efficiency
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Essential

  • Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar operational role
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Confident using inventory systems/relevant software and improving processes
  • Experience managing stock control
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams

Desirable

  • Experience in food, beverage, or coffee production environments
  • Experience working in a growing or scaling business
  • Interest in specialty coffee
