Giving Coffee Packaging a Second Life
To us, sustainability is simply about doing the right thing. Great coffee should never come at the cost of unnecessary waste, and we believe packaging should always have a second life.
That is why we offer a simple coffee bag take-back service for our customers. When you’ve finished your coffee, you can return your used bags so they can be recycled correctly and responsibly. For our wholesale partners on local delivery routes, we collect all packaging directly as part of our weekly delivery service. For retail customers, bags can either be dropped back to us or posted back at any time.
First Mile Recycling Centre
All returned packaging is processed through the First Mile recycling centre. First Mile is a specialist recycling and waste recovery partner focused on keeping materials in circulation for as long as possible. They work with businesses to divert waste away from landfill and incineration, using advanced sorting and recovery systems to ensure materials are properly separated and reprocessed into new products. Their approach supports a more circular economy, where resources are reused rather than discarded, helping reduce environmental impact at scale.
By working with First Mile, we can be confident that returned packaging is handled responsibly and given the best possible chance of a second life. This supports a more circular approach to packaging and helps reduce waste going to landfill.
