The story behind the cup...
Quindío, Colombia
Sebastian Gomez comes from a traditional coffee family and, together with his father John, owns La Divisa Farm, a 13-hectare estate located at 1,700 metres in Circasia, Quindío. The farm is shaded by native trees such as Guamo, Guayacan and Nogal, creating an ideal environment for specialty coffee.
After experiencing the global speciality movement, Sebastian shifted the farm’s focus from quantity to quality, planting varieties like Geisha and Pink Bourbon. Today, Sebastian and his wife manage both farm and administrative work, supported by John’s 30 years of experience.
Only ripe cherries are hand-picked, rigorously sorted and aerobically fermented for 45 hours, then slowly dried on raised beds. The cup shows vibrant fruit sweetness, bright acidity and a full, elegant body.
