The story behind the cup...
Popayán, Cauca, Colombia
Grown at 1,700 metres in the highlands of Popayán, Cauca, this coffee thrives in the fertile volcanic soils of the Meseta de Popayán. Sheltered by the Andes, the region enjoys a consistently mild climate that allows coffee cherries to mature slowly, enhancing sweetness, balance, and complexity while protecting crops from extreme weather.
The sourcing programme behind this coffee works with around 65 local growers, building long-term, transparent relationships. Farmers receive technical guidance, continuous quality assessment, and premiums of up to 20% above market price, ensuring their commitment to excellence is both recognised and rewarded. This approach supports not only coffee quality but also sustainable livelihoods across the community.
Expect a perfectly balanced cup with smooth caramel notes and delicate floral undertones - a true expression of Popayán’s remarkable landscape and the care of its dedicated growers.
