The story behind the cup...

Brazil, Fazenda Barreiro

Fazenda Barreiro is run by Francisco Otávio Lotufo and his family, who take great pride in combining their family’s coffee growing traditions, with a commitment to farming in the most environmentally and socially responsible way.

Francisco is also dedicated to preserving the farm’s beautiful woodland, water sources and native wildlife.

Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kalungu

This delicious coffee is sourced from the village of Kalungu, located near the shores of lake Kivu - one of the African great lakes. The Kalungu washing station serves 380 smallholder farmers who live in the surrounding areas, 44% of whom are women. It also serves as the processing facility for CAPCKI - a ‘coffee for peace’ cooperative.
