The story behind the cup...

Lot 20, Kenya (Anaerobic Lager Yeast Fermentation)

This outstanding microlot was produced in collaboration by Lot 20 and Misadhi Coffee Growers and has been anaerobically fermented with larger yeast!

All Lot 20 coffees are limited releases of standout micro-lots that showcase innovative farming techniques and deliver truly unique flavour profiles.

Misadhi Coffee Grower who processed this coffee work with over 2,000 farmers, providing them with advanced support and training in quality and sustainable coffee production.

The cherries go through a meticulous process - sorted by hand and floated for quality, then fermented with larger yeast in sealed barrels for four days. This anaerobic fermentation locks in an incredible depth of flavour.

The coffee is then raised beds and when ready for export are vacuum-packed for freshness.

The result is a wild and juicy cup with loads of character. Think tropical IPA - bright, fruity, slightly funky, and totally unique!
